Join our team! We are looking for someone to work with our seasonal farm hand crew for the 2026 season.

Our farm is located in Ithaca NY, where we grow 10 acres of certified organic fruits and vegetables. We distribute our fresh produce through our 250+ member summer CSA, small winter CSA, the Ithaca Farmers Market and local restaurants. We are a small but mighty crew, working hard and having fun on the farm!

As a member of our field crew you will work alongside our experienced seasonal crew of 3, our CSA manager and our two farm owners. We strive to keep the farm clean and efficient while providing the highest quality produce for our community. We farm with reduced-till & no-till practices. Much of the work we do is very physical but our farm is relatively small, so tasks change frequently.

Examples of typical tasks include:

Greenhouse sowing and watering, planting vegetables by hand and mechanical transplanter, hand weeding, soil preparation using long-handle tools, harvesting and washing fruits and vegetables, post harvest packing and handling, trellising, some small power tool work (Weedwhacker, leaf blower, push lawn mower).

This job may also include some customer service for CSA pick up and the Ithaca Farmers Market. For the right person, this could become a regular part of the position.

Work Schedule:

·Work Starts: First week in May

Work Ends: Late September (with potential for continuation)

This position is full time 40+ hours per week. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday 7 AM - 5 PM with a 1 hour lunch break.

Compensation and Benefits:

Wage depends on experience (starting pay $18 / hour)

New York paid family leave ( if qualified)

Unpaid sick leave up to 40/h per season

Vegetables and fruit to eat for personal consumption

Worker's compensation and disability benefits insurance

Job Requirements:

Minimum 1 season as a field hand on a commercial / CSA vegetable farm

Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work outside in all types of weather conditions

Able to commit to the full duration of the season and full time schedule

Work collaboratively with a group and at times following directions independently

A+ Skills:

-Farm tractor operation experience

-Retail / customer service experience

-Valid drivers license
